All old/unused wiring was removed and all new wires are labeled and meticulously routed to new Circuit Breakers. CB's were arranged for logical order and new labels laser marked. Over 80 hours invested in this one task.Note* This avionics suite is the finest combination available and makes flying this plane so much simpler and safer. The GFC600 Autopilot is the most accurate, precise, and intuitive autopilot available...No comparison to the 400B that it replaced.
Interior
While we were accomplishing the avionics work, the interior was entirely removed. Fiberglass insulation was removed, the ceiling, walls, and floor were cleaned and the fuselage was wrapped in 1" thick thermal/sound proofing insulation. This is the quietest 340 Cabin you will find. The fuselage was inspected and resealed, giving like new pressurization differential. The seats were stripped down, new webbing and high density foam installed before completely covered in New luxurious leather. The side panels were also stripped, new foam installed and covered in coordinating leather. Wool Carpet was installed. This interior smells like a new airplane and the seats are very comfortable. The Fuel Selector sits in the floor between the seats and gets a lot of abuse; I sent mine out for powder coating and had new selector decals screen printed. A new headliner was installed. The curtains were removed and either need to be replaced or we can remove the curtain straps from the channels.
Exterior
The exterior paint is Greystone Base with Jade Mist and Gold Accent. The Paint is in poor shape, I would give it a 4 on a 10 point scale. I was going to design a beautiful and modern paint scheme and have that accomplished next but have decided to leave that for the new owner and their design preferences. ALL Exterior lighting has been replaced with LED lighting, much brighter, much lighter, significantly less power draw, and should never need to be replaced!
Maintenance
Annual Inspection Due: 4/30/2024Hangared: YesComplete Logs: YesDamage History: NoI treat each annual inspection as an opportunity to replace or fix things that most people ignore, think of it is a continual Restoration to factory new or better.
