Description

After a decade of successfully participating in airshows around Europe, our original USAF Cessna O-2A is looking for a new home.

USAF 67-21300 is a unique ship in many aspects: she was the very rst of several hundred O-2 s to be deployed to Vietnam. There she safely carried out hundreds of FAC missions over Vietnam and Laos. A signature of one of her pilots, who ew more than fty missions on on ship 300, is testimony to this unique historic fact. After the war, 21300 was used by several military branches in the continental US, before being deemed surplus. She was restored in the early 2000 s, won a prize at EAA Airventure and was brought to Europe in the summer of 2013. She comes equipped with a lot of the original military avionics and systems, many of which are still functional!

Now, the opportunity is yours to take: to own and operate this unique warbird and participate in the airshow circuit around the world.

Despite being an aboslute unique piece of military aviation history, the Cessna O-2A is relatively easy and affordable to operate. A Multi-Engine rating is required but in terms of handling, any pilot with some experience on the C172 or C182 will easily convert to the O-2. She carries four persons, fuel and luggage for long distance trips. With favourable weather, a trans-atlantic ferry ight can be performed without modi cations thanks to the radio stack and long-range tanks.

The O-2A has proven to be a reliable companion, with barely any AOG occurrences happening over the last ten years.

In 2020 during the COVID pandemic, an extensive maintenance check has been carried out. Corrosion and crack inspections and repairs to the wing spars have been carried out, as part of an extensive AD. Wing struts have been replaced. Control cables have been replaced where necessary and re-rigged. Fuel tanks have been inspected and when necessary, replaced. All AD s have been carried out and complied with. Compressions have been checked and have been found stellar and stable. (contact us for the full maintenance and repair report)

In short: 21300 is ready for another decade of performing at airshows!
