Description
After 10 years and about 400 hours of joyfull flying I sell my little Airbus 0,38 , the mighty D-EDOM. She is in top condition from inside and outside. Cosmetic issues, once occurred, have been worked on immediately to keep her always in overall in good looking shape. The pictures show what you really get!
She has been flown in the past 10 years only by me and was treated with respect, maintained with passion to keep her alive as a treasure, which she is. In all the years she gave me the freedom of flight by owning my own aircraft and the ability to fly whenever I wanted and the weather let me.
She is easy and with low cost to maintain (only little AWD to care for) and also with low cost to operate. In the past 10 years the average fuel consumption based on engine hours is 22 l/h.
With the basic VFR-cockpit there is also little cost on the avionics. The Garmin Aera 500 and my iPhone in a Ramp mount with Sky Demon running on it, let me perform always a safe and sufficient navigation.
D-EDOM is responsive on its rudders, has gentle stall characteristics and is easy to access with her sliding canopy. Once in, you have the typical great Robin view out of the cockpit.
The engine runs perfectly smooth and fires up under all conditions with ease. It got a top overhaul about 700 h ago. Last boroscopic inspection in August 23 indicated perfect shape of the cylinder walls and all valves. The left over hours to TBO is about 90 h and it can run for minimum + 2 x 240 h. In total is goes forward with still 570 hours. With a flying time of 40 h a year it is able to go minimum next 14 years and even further. Treat the Lyconsaur well, and it stays with you a life-time. In all the past 10 years I never had any issues with the engine and never got stuck anywhere.
In 2023 we circumnavigated in two weeks with D-EDOM the Baltic Sea (4.000 km, 8 countries) without any problems. She is a very reliable aircraft all time.
And why do I sell this beautiful plane? It is time for the next level. So what is left to do? Only add fuel and have fun!
I am open to serious offers to see her flying!
