Description

This advert is managed by the owner's son as my father is not fluent in English. Feel free to reach out by phone or email about any questions you may have or any additional details you may require and I will get back to you if I cannot answer your doubts on the spot. This aircraft is being sold now with a deep sorrow as my father admits it is not wise for him to keep flying at his old age. He has owned the aircraft for past two decades and we have enjoyed flying it together thoroughly during this time, but it is time to let her go now.

This is a spanish-licensed version of the B cker B -131 Jungmann, the CASA 1.131-E, designated as E3B in the Spanish Air Force. It was manufactured in 1954 and has serial number 2193 E3B-507. This makes it a series 2000 CASA 1.131E which are an updated and more capable aircraft compared to the series 1000. The E3B-507 makes it the 507th CASA 1.131E to be manufactured for the Spanish Air Force. There is no exact figure but 530 is generally regarded as the total number of CASA 1.131-E that were manufactured, making this aircraft one of the last to be mass-produced at the time for the Spanish Airforce. These aircraft served in the military as trainers until 1968 for the most part, but my father did his mandatory military service in 1973 flying the CASA 1.131-E, so they still saw occasional use after 1968. The fact that he had flown this aircraft during his service is the reason he would later buy it himself.

This aircraft belonged to the Spanish Air Force since its construction in 1954 until it was auctioned in Albacete to its first private owner in 1984. The aircraft was auctioned with the Elizalde (ENMA) Tigre G-IV-A2 n 4247 engine and ENHA HC-212-111 n 11438 propeller. The first owner swapped the engine in 1988 for the upgraded Elizalde (ENMA) G-IV-A5 n 40025 which still produces 125HP like the A2 variant but was more adequate for aerobatics as it can sustain negative g loads better.

My father is this aircraft's second private owner and he bought it in 2007 from the first private owner. When he bought the aircraft, it underwent a major airframe and engine overhaul. The propeller was swapped for a new custom-made wooden propeller with a brass-reinforced leading edge from Clerici in Buenos Aires, Argentina, tailored for the flight envelope and the power plant of the aircraft. A flop tube fuel pickup line was fitted to avoid starving the engine during negative g aerobatics. An onboard starter motor and battery were fitted too. During my father's ownership from 2007, the airframe, engine and propeller have flown 200 hours.

In preparation for its new owner, the aircraft underwent on February 2025 a major airframe and engine overhaul. The picture of the pistons shows the before (residue build up) and after (cleaned and prepped) during the overhaul. The aircraft has always been stored in a private closed hangar and is in great condition. The dacron has not been exposed to the sun for anything other than flying and remains in excellent condition too.

Avionics

Historically, the CASA 1.131E was a 1930s open-cockpit trainer. As such, it was designed for basic, day VFR flight instruction with minimal instrumentation rather than modern avionics in the contemporary sense. This aircraft includes:

Indicated Air Speed
Engine Temperature
Barometric Altitude
Oil Pressure
Magnetic Compass
Engine RPM
Fuel Level Indicator
Radio

Interior

Interior is kept mostly true to what it saw during its military service and has been looked after responsibly. Both pilots have a secure 5-point harness. Old school style leather helmets with integrated radio headsets.

Exterior

Vibrant red dacron in great condition.

Additional Features

Starter motor and battery fitted. Flop tube fuel pickup line fitted for negative g aerobatics.

A lot of spares, not included in the price. Price negotiable for spares. Some of these are: Pistons, cylinders, magnetos, tail wheels, tyres, rims, propeller, carburators, oil tank, tools, starter motors, primer and many others...

We can arrange a meeting see the aircraft on site. If the new buyer's location required the aircraft to be shipped or ferried, these costs can be negotiated depending on conditions. We know technicians here who can partially dissamble the aircraft for transport. Also, feel free to reach out by phone, whatsapp or email anytime for any additional details you are interested in.
