Description

S6ES 2200a 3250Due to a highly valued member of our syndicate not having time to fly; we have for sale a 25% share in our lovely Rans S6ES aircraft.

The aircraft is fitted with Trig TT21 Transponder and TY91 Radio which work brilliantly and makes it easy to communicate with ATC.

It s hangared at Chirk Airfield, a few miles south of Wrexham which provides up to 690 metres of takeoff and landing distance; sloping up towards the south. https://maps.app.goo.gl/YiH2apVCcNsWzTn16?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

The Jabira 2200a solid lifter engine runs beautifully. Engine and airframe are approximately 500 hours and I think the top end was rebuilt around 100 hours ago; I will confirm that next time I m at the airfield where the logbook is kept.

Cruises at roughly 70-80mph and at around 13-16lph depending on all-up weight so it s very capable of long cross-country flights.

We have a brilliant inspector who lives just a few miles up the road who does the LAA inspection for us every year.

There s a system of 35pcm standing order and then any costs above that are shared between the members; with any wear attributed costs paid for split roughly by hours flown. Any flying member will have to be/become a member of the LAA when the PermitToFly is revalidated each Autumn.

Any extra insurance cost over the normal is to be paid by the member who ups it; for example if we add you to the policy and it goes up by 50; that s your cost. Any costs attributed to you are your own.

We are not opposed to pilots with low hours but you must have the right attitude to safety and considerate flying to fit the group. I m very happy to fly with you for as many hours as you need to become familiar and competent with the aircraft subject to work commitments.

There isn t a dry hourly rate to pay, but obviously if you want to fly it a lot we would expect the relevant extra maintenance costs to be paid preemptively.

The syndicate owns a spare engine from another aircraft that was involved in an engine failure accident due to a fuelling issue so thats available for spare parts.

There s a couple of rubbishy headsets owned by the group so you don t need your own but you would be better owning your own good quality GA headset if you like to use radio.

I can t think of anything else but send me a text message with any information requests and I ll get back to you as soon as I can.
