Designed in the early 1930s by the Belgian engineers Jean Stampe and Maurice Vertongen, the Stampe SV-4 is a training biplane. Prior to the Second World War, just 40 aircraft were ordered by the French and Belgium Air Force, it was not until after the war that its production expanded. Successively manufactured by SNCAN and by the AIA - Algiers, the aircraft was used to equip many training schools across Europe. Used by the Royal Air Force, the Belgian Air Force and the three corps of the French Army, known for its aerobatic finesse led the aircraft to be chosen by the World famous Etampes patrol from 1947 to 1953. The SV-4 stood out from the crowd during Aerobatic competitions and is now a firm favourite for aircraft collectors and vintage thrill seekers.

Released from the AIA d 'Algiers during 1949, it then joined the State pilot school at the Saint-Yan airfield. The aircraft flew some 1900 hours in the hands of pilot students expertly trained by Jean Notteigem, instructor, and head of the famous Saint-Yan training school. During the 80s and 90s, the aircraft had four successive owners before in the early 2000 she was acquired and restored by a Swiss collector. The current owner purchased her in 2008 where she has since been a regular sight in the skies above La Fert Alais Paris .

The aircraft benefits from low engine and airframe hours. Currently installed is a Funke FSG71M radio.
Used regularly and always been hangared. Viewings by appointment only.

This aircraft is currently on the French register as F-GPPJ and will be sold with a permit to fly covering up to March 2023.
