Additional Features

Ownership Status:

The present owner is the 7th owner in total. The aircraft was sold NEW from Piper to its first owner in 12/1999. It spent its life in USA until it was sold to a German individual, who has purchased the aircraft in 12/2009 being the 6th owner in total. Such owner decided to convert the aircraft to a Piper Jetprop DLX with a total time of 1472h in 03/2010. It was then ferried to Europe on its N registration and become D registered after its arrival. The first German owner then decided to sell the it to its second private European owner in 08/2019. All logbooks are available SNEW. Aircraft is always hangered and maintained on behalf of an experienced Piper Jetprop DLX maintenance facility. This Jetprop DLX has only been flown on behalf of two pilots since 08/2019, since the last 300h. In 09/2020 the aircraft suffered from a prop strike upon landing. Incident occurred upon role out with power setting on idle at very low torque. Engine had been removed for Sudden Stoppage Inspection (SSI), performed on behalf of Dallas Airmotive & H+S Aviation (Portsmouth, UK). Back then the current owner decided to upgrade the propeller to the new 5 blade MT propeller and have the constant speed and overspeed governor overhauled. Logbook entries such as work reports of incident available upon request.

Information about Piper Jetprop DL(X):

Higher, faster, further and more efficient, the Jetprop DL(X) is definitely the right investment to travel in a pressurized cabin in high altitudes achieving satisfying cruising speeds and being able to achieve great take-off and landing performance. Operating and maintenance costs are significantly lower compared to bigger multi engine piston planes or other similar turbo props and operating in a much safer environment in icing conditions with an existing FIKI certification. Easy and cost effective to maintain, great to fly for business and leisure!
