Merlin SSDR 24,950I have decided to put My SSDR Merlin G-CJTD up for sale to fund my next aircraft. The aircraft is based on a farm strip in Northumberland. We have two grass runways which are about 260 metres in length which demonstrates the short field capabilities of the Merlin. The aircraft is an all metal high wing monocoque powered by a Rotax 582 Blue top with about 100 hours on both engine and airframe. It cruses happily at 5000rpm and indicates 85mph. I have owned the Merlin from new and thoroughly enjoyed flying it. On the 11 August 2024 I undertook a local NavEX lasting just under two hours where I used 19 litres fuel and covered 139 miles. The flying characteristics of the Merlin are well balanced and responsive, however the Merlin is not for a novice pilot as it is a single seater.
The American dealer Chip Erwin https://www.aeromarine-lsa.com/ has produced loads of videos and are well worth watching to get an overall impression of the Merlin.

As can be seen in the photo there is a Trig radio and transponder which will be left in the aircraft if the asking price is achieved.
